Beverly Hills Hotels

I want to take my 13 year old daughter to Beverly Hills. We've already stayed in Hollywood and it was pretty seedy. Any suggestions of where to stay? I don't want an expensive hotel. Would like to be located near Rodeo Dr. Would also like to go to Santa Monica. Please adivse.

Beverly Hills = expensive, that's kinda common knowledge.

You might check if the Luxe Hotel on Rodeo Drive has its "entertainment card discount rate" on your dates. If so you can book it, then buy your membership card at entertainment.com

We have stayed at the Best Western Beverly Pavillion and loved the location--a short walk to Rodeo Drive and to Beverly Boulevard (which has lots of "normal" coffee shops, restaurants, even a big grocery store). I understand the rooms have recently been redecorated.

We used to stay in Santa Monica, but we find that we now prefer the Beverly Hills location.

You will have more choice of less expensive hotels in Santa Monica, and you can easily drive to B.H. Lots to do around the Beach, and the 3rd street mall will delight a 13 year old. Lots of "street performers" at night.......lots of fun....

Maybe Westwood? Not seedy at all, a nice neighborhood near UCLA with lots of restaurants & shops within a three block area. Movie theatres there have premieres happening from time to time. Only a short bus ride to Beverly Hills/ Rodeo Drive...you can even stroll through some Beverly Hills neighborhoods from here or take a quick bus ride to the Getty Center (a must visit place). Santa Monica is just a 12-15 minute ride on the blue bus from here, and Hilgard House is a nice place to stay/ not expensive for the area.

there's always the Beverly Hilton. it's really nice, but not as opulent and $$$ as the others I don't think.

oh yeah, and the sofitel hotel is right near the beverly center, at the east end of BH and the west / south end of west hollywood- which is fabulous of course.

i guess i'd pick the sofitel!

The Beverly Hilton has nice rooms. It is expensive and it located so that walking to nearby Rodeo Drive requires crossing two very wide and busy roadways.
