Best vegas hotel for bachelorette party

Hi! Does anyone have some recommendations for the best hotel to book for a bachelorette party in September. We were considering the Palms or Hard Rock Hotel. Most of us are in our 30's so we want a hip hotel but not one that is overrun with kids....tks for any input!

Both hotels are off the strip which means more taxis and more chances to lose a group member.

If your group is in to sports, I would reccomend Ceasers which has the best sports book. Nothing beter than watching college/pro football for hours upon end in a casino!

While staying at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay I got flashed by a group of women wearing "What Happens In Vegas Stays In Vegas" shirts in the ladies bathroom (OK they weren't trying to flash me, they were just showing each other their implants or lack thereof), and later by the pool saw a whole bunch of silly drunk guys, so that seemed like the place to be. Great pools, good casino and lots of great restaurants, bars and clubs right at MB.

Are some of the Hotels offering a package? What is involved is a bachlorette party at a specific property?

If you just need a destination for this event, what difference does it make? Why not do a circuit type thing that includes a "ladies" show?

Or....are you interested in a base hotel that you can work from....well OK, perhaps "work" is a bad term but hopefully you know what I mean.

No I don't think that any specific hotel offers anything special for bachelorette parties but I guess I would just like to be at a hotel with a little more of a party vibe. I've been to vegas and stayed at both the Mirage and the Aladdin and while they were nice hotels, it was pretty quiet and had a much older crowd. So I've heard that the Palms and Mandalay usually get a younger crowd so I just wanted some input from people who have visited both....we will definitely be making the rounds to a few different places including a "ladies show"..lol...but would also like our home base hotel to have some action...no "working" involved though..lol.

In my experience, NYNY has a good party atmosphere. Luxor and MGM are also something to consider. I did not see that at Mandalay during 2 stays there. Nor did I see it at the Palms but I have not spent the night there. No experience with Hard Rock.

I believe that if you get a group of 30 something females together who are looking for a good time, they will find it regardless of the local. Stick with the Strip...in fact, the more stripping, the better ;-)

You may also want to check what events are in town that weekend. For example, if there is a big concert at MGM, that will be the "in" hotel that night.

I think you are on the right track. Both those hotels have reputations for being a younger, hip crowd, with more of a party atmosphere.

I would not suggest the Palms... As weimer mentioned, both hotels are off the strip (not within walking distance) and that isolates you unless you're willing to deal with taxis. Hard Rock is a little closer to the action and a really fun place, but still... off the strip. I like MerryTravel's suggestion of THEhotel... it's very trendy, a younger crowd, and you can walk to the Luxor (via a shopping mall!) without having to exit the building. Mandalay Bay has a club on the top floor with a great city view (Mix) and Luxor has what used to be one of the top clubs in the city (Ra).

At the Palms you'll be right across the street from Chippendales at the Rio. All three hotels on that corner have free shuttle service to the strip.
