Best stay, park & fly hotel near Boston Logan airport?

We live almost 2 hours from Boston's Logan airport and would like your recommendations for a good deal (cost) on a hotel to stay in the night before a flight where we could leave our car for free and take the hotel's shuttle to the airport. Thanks.

I would google search this because there are a few that offer the package but the hotel price and parking rate will vary so I would check them out. Here is one;http://www.comfortinn.com/hotel-reve...chusetts-MA051

I don't think there are any "good deals" anymore with parking at such a premium around Boston. You could check ParkSleepFly.com for ideas, also ParkShuttleFly.com and PreFlightParking.com

Boston Express has service from NH to Logan and there is also a Logan bus out of Portland Maine (with parking lot)

How close do you live to an Amtrak station with free parking?
Depending on your schedule, it might work to take the train to one of the Boston stations and a taxi to Logan.

Do you have an early flight out of Logan that requires you to stay at a nearby airport hotel?

If no, there are other options that don't require staying overnight at a hotel (which won't be that cheap). There is Logan Express with pick-up from a number of locations http://www.massport.com/logan-airpor...anExpress.aspx

Or you can drive to Logan and park at the off-site lots, either the Logan Economy lot or the PreFlight lot http://www.preflightparking.com/

I think the Marriott Long Wharf may offer boat service to Logan. It's very close to the airport. You could also try the Intercontinental. Both of these hotels are an easy walk to the North End and Fanueil Marketplace, too.

We stayed at a Ramada a bout 10 minutes south of the airport. There was a place to eat next to it and a big parking lot behind the restaurant. They said to park the car up by the fence at its back. I was a little worried, as the lot was not locked but the car was there when we got back two weeks later and nothing was missing. The motel was not very special, but had a shuttle to the airport at 5 am which is what we needed.

We know about transportation to Logan from the Cape, and have used the various sources in the past. We were looking for a hotel because our granddaughter is flying in from another city to Boston to join us the day before the three of us are flying out from Boston on a spring break trip. Since we would be paying for parking at Logan, we thought maybe staying at a park and fly hotel might save us the hassle of a roundtrip from the Cape to Logan to pick up our granddaughter one day and back to the Cape to spend the night together and then driving back to Logan the next day to fly the 3 of us out. And then the repeat scenario when we come back.

We often stay near or at Logan when we have an early flight especially if the weather is iffy.
The best deals we've found have been with the Courtyard Marriott South Boston where the park and fly rate includes 10 days of parking

Check the details carefully as some hotels park and fly rates limit the parking to 4 days and charge more for 7 day parking with additional per night charges above this duration.

Rates vary according to your dates and from hotel to hotel so there's no guaranteed answer.

There is also a Courtyard Marriott in Revere, close to the airport, with a shuttle.

I would call around to airport hotels and ask about a package. Some hotels may offer deals but may not necessarily advertise them.

Just to keep the record straight, the Courtyard Marriott on Rt.1a is not in Revere but East Boston. There is also a Hampton Inn on Rt 1a - that one is in Revere. Comfort Inn is just north of that. Sorry if I sound picky or petty - not my intent. Just wanted to help with an internet search.

If you have ever used Priceline, it would almost certainly be a great way to get a room AT Logan. Both the Hilton and the Hyatt are **** and excellent places to stay. You can take the P&B Bus to the Cape, the hotel shuttle to your hotel, and you can even go into Boston to do things or have dinner.

If you don't know about using Priceline, Embassy Suites at Logan has an excellent senior rate which includes a huge breakfast, wine and cheese in the afternoon, and good, large suite rooms that will sleep three. You could still take the bus from the Cape and call for the hotel shuttle when you arrive. Their shuttle will also take you to and from the T if you want to go into town.
