Best Maui rest. for anniv. dinner?

We are celebrating our 5th anniversary while in Maui, what would be the best place to eat, cost doesn't matter, but maybe w/a nice view? Thanks!

Well the truth is we haven't eaten everywhere on Maui, but one place we like is Mama's Fish House with a tropical, shoreline view. Suggest you reserve in advance.

While in Maui, heard from locals that Mama's isn't worthy of all thy hype. I recommend Sarentos (on the edge of Wilea and Kihei) - has great view, excellent service, food is fantastic. Try to get your hands on the guidebook Maui REvealed - it not only helped us find great restaurants, but snorel spots, hikes and a luau. Aloha!

We went to Maui last year for our honeymoon and our 2 favorite dinners (based on food and view) were: 1) Nick's Fishmarket - Wailea, in Fairmont Kea Lani hotel and 2) Pacific O's - Lahina on the water. Both had terrific seafood and great views!!

And ditto above - definitely buy Maui Revealed. It is a GREAT book and will make your trip more memorable!

We've eaten at many places, nice and not so, on Maui. Mama's is worth the hype, though it is expensive. The food and service are very good (though not world class), the ambiance is memorable, and the view sensational. My children loved the powder room. Great fun to watch the surfers and board sailers just down the road. That said, it's not too intimate, though the tables are pretty well spaced. The authors of Maui Revealed write very favorably of it ("where we go when we want to treat ourselves"). And, you can't go wrong at Nick's (a sister of Sarento's) or Spago, both in south Maui.

Sansei. May not have the best view but it is the best Japanese restaurant in the United States bar none.
