beach house at hermosa

Just wondering what people's experiences at this hotel have been? Was it worth the price?

I've never stayed there...but if it's teh Inn at Hermosa on the strand you're talking about, you can't beat the location. If you can get beachfront, the people watching can't be beat. I've often wished I could just stay there and hang out. I skate by it all the time.

If it's the one on the strand, the first floor units look tiny with small patios. Think about whether you want all the walkers, skaters and bikers looking in at you as they pass by. I'd probably choose a second floor unit for more privacy. This condominium is right at the pier so there may be some noise at night from the restaurant crowd but you can walk right out to the sand.

It is definitely right on the strand. I think its website actually boasts that it is only 5 feet away from the sand of the beach. I'll definitely keep in mind to request 2nd floor room.

Yes, that's the one. I think you're paying more for the location than anything.

I'm not sure if the ground floor patios (beachfront ones) are bigger than the higher floors...which makes it nice to kick back and take in a drink and view. However, Jeannette is right...lots of people peek in as they go by (I'm probably one of them). If you like your privacy, definitely do a higher floor.

I'm skating by it today, so maybe I'll look at the balcony sizes to make sure. Are you planning to do beachfront? Partial view seems kind of a joke...

I was wrong...

I had the day off today, so I skated by it. The patios on the 2nd and 3rd floors are actually a smidgen bigger than the ground floor ones. Also, some of the partial view rooms that face the north would have a decent view, as long as you are not on the 1st floor.

I peeked inside. The rooms look pretty nice, but nothing fancy. Have a great time.
