Bally's question
I have read a couple of negative reviews on Bally's and was just wondering if anyone who has stayed there recently had any postive feedback. Mostly on the rooms. I have read the review on cheapovegas.com and they seem to like the rooms.
For our trip in July we are trying to decide between Flamingo, Harrahs and Ballys. The rates are pretty comparible. The reason for these choices is location. Also we don't like to spend to much on our room, being as were not in it much. We will be there for 7 nights, all of the above hotels run around 500.00 for 7 nights with a few freebies thrown in. We have stayed at Flamingo and Harrahs in the past, but never at Bally's.
Any advice is appreciated!

F, H, and B are all in the same category for room quality. Nothing special, bargain price, you get what you pay for. Harrah's has the newest rooms (new wing) but they're very bland.
If you have little interest in spending money on the room because you won't be in it, then you won't care which of these 3 you're in.
One of my business partners just returned from B 2 weeks ago and was disgusted with his suite, but then he tends to gravitate toward luxury hotels and was staying at B by necessity.
If you go in with modest expectations and modest demands, you'll be fine in any of these three.

I stayed at Ballys about 2 years ago and I thought it was fine. The rooms are comfortable and basic, they serve the purpose. The place itself has a good pool and nice shops, it is so close to everything that you can't go wrong. I say go for it!!

Having stayed at Ballys &* Harrahs this past Jan., I would say Ballys is FAR superior! Ask for a room in the North Tower; they have been all renovated. The rooms are VERY large and spacious, and the new furnishings and wall treatments make the rooms very nice. The rooms at Ballys is almost twice the size than at Harrahs. Ballys room have enough space for a love seat, club chair & desk, so you have a place other than your bed to sit in. The rooms at harrahs only have 2 chairs & a small table, NO DESK or LOVESEAT. The TV is smaller and the bathrooms are smaller too.
No contest, the roooms at Ballys are far superior to Harrahs!

I went to Vegas in March and actually stayed at the Luxor, but you have a good point with trying to stay at a central location.
Id have to say, out of those 3 hotels, I would go with Ballys. You will probably get more for your money and have a little bit of a nicer room

Thanks everyone for the great advice!
I guess right now I'm playing the waiting game to see which property lowers their price. I still have about 8 weeks and being as were going in July (not high season) I think the prices may go down some. I'll let you know which one I chose when I make my reservation.
