Advise for RDU airport hotel

I need a recommendation for a nice hotel close to RDU airport. While in the area we will be staying at the Fearrington Inn. I am looking for a very nice airport hotel. (4 to 5 star) thankyou Jane

You aren't going to find a 4-5 star hotel near the airport, and there are no hotels actually on hotel grounds. Best you're going to do is one of the chains (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt) somewhere along I-40 nearby, or else there's the Umstead Spa/Luxury place in Cary, which is a little distance from the airport but very upscale.

jjaonhen, I would try buyreservations.com

I had never heard of them and one of the people I work for suggested them to me for a stay over at Boston airport. I looked and booked a room for a very reasonable price that included parking and shuttle transfer.

I did look just a minute ago and RDU is on their list.

Good luck!

Why don't you just go to the Fearington! It is maybe an hour? Are you really asking this?

Wouldn't stay at the Fearrington for an 8 am flight. Aside from the considerable distance and risk of traffice, you'd be leaving too early to enjoy their breakfast!

The Umstead on N. Harrison near Hwy 40 in Cary is a new hotel applying for a 5 star rating. Don't know it's current status, but it is perfect for what you're looking for. about 10 minutes from the airport.
