? About St.James Theater/The Producers

I'm considering buying tickets to see The Producers at St. James Theater but have a question about the layout of the Theater. The seats are in row A of the Balcony (not mezzanine). I know that mezzanines hang over the orchestra at around row K or so but not sure about balcony seats. Does the balcony in turn hang over the mezzanine? I've never sat in balcony seats so have no idea even after looking at a seating chart. Row A (first row of balcony) sounds good, but it may be way up or way in the back of the theater. Row A in the Mezzanine in most theaters is great, but this is the balcony!! Thanks for opinions if you're familiar with this theater. Jack

Jack, the balcony does not overhang the mezzanine at the St. James . . . it starts at the last row of the mez, is up a few steps and goes to the back of the house. Too bad you missed me and Matthew in the show. I hear the new guys are pretty good.

Jack, Nathans never been up that high in the theater. Take it from me, the balcony overhangs row D of the mezzanine (that's why it's called a balcony).

Row A tickets of the balcony are good. Row A tickets of the mez are best.
Row A tickets of the orchestra are too close!

It's been too long since I was in the St. James Theater but I pulled up the following webpage with seating chart. According to this, the balcony DOES OVERHANG the mezzanine. Maybe this is an old seating chart since "Nathan Lane" says it does not....hmmm?? Check out this site:
