3 nights in south beach??

Will be spending 3 nights in South Beach (Miami) with 2 teens so we will need 2 rooms. Want to stay in the price range of medium to maybe medium high. Want good pool and ocean front - any ideas?? Will be going the first part of Aug. Will hotel rates be lower?? First time to South Beach.

Ballet1288-
Rates will be way lower due to the extreme heat and humidity and the off season for snowbirds.
My recommendation is the the Crowne Plaza royal palms resort... by joining the Priority Club (two minutes online) you would be eligible for their summer special which is "second room at $99".
This would put you right on South Beach just steps away from the SoBe strip. I have used this promo for the last several years and find it to be perfect for travel with the kids. Have fun!

Sounds good but is this a credit card deal or just a "Club"

We are going to South Beach last half of July for two nights and was able to get two rooms (two teens also) for $40 per room at the Holiday Inn South Beach. Has varied reviews on www.TripAdvisor.com and www.BiddingforTravel.com but has a pool and beachfront with free chairs and umbrellas and free parking -- a bit of a distance from the main district of South Beach but sounds like a very nice stretch of beach in front of the hotel.

Their website is www.miamisouthbeachresort.com/sobe/

We got this rate off of Priceline, which is no guarantee that you will receive this 3* hotel, but gives you an idea of what you could get for around $40-60 a night that time of year.
