South Beach hotel for under $150???

Have a last minute 4 day trip to Miami and im having major issues booking a hotel for check-in this sunday. Can anyone recommend a decent hotel for under $150, would prefer under $100 but i dont think that'll happen in south beach? Was thinking the Chesterfield or The Whitelaw or Mercury but every website I go to has conflicting reviews and now im all confused!! This is for my husband and I in our late twenties who are over the clubbing scene. We wont be spending the entire time in south beach, want to do the Everlgades and some other stuff too. We will be using the hotel just for sleeping so as long as its clean we're good. Oh and parking will be handy too. THANK YOU!!!!

I'm afraid that you're dreaming. $150 per night will be tough for a good hotel in High Season in South Beach. And free parking is basically a fantasy.

Having said that, of the group you list the Whitelaw would probably be the best. Do you have to stay in South Beach? Maybe there might be a deal in Mid-beach or Bal Harbour.... Maybe the Roney Plaza?

Hi, thank you, was kinda thinking i was in dreamland. Doesnt have to be south beach, we are meeting friends who have been travelling around south america so we just need somewhere to stay then we can drive to where ever we r going. Ill check out Bal Harbour & Mid Beach, thanks for your help.

Have you tried priceline or hotwire? Last February, we got a hotel right on the beach for $125 using hotwire. It even had a small balcony facing the ocean. We did pay extra for parking however. Good luck!!

We have Pricelined hotels in Miami Beach for $79 a night about 10 minutes from Sobe. Once not so good, the other a Wyndham. Try them and also Circa 39, they are always sending me promo emails. The parking is extra and a pain but cabs are relatively inexpensive.

Thanks Jayneann and chris_john. Ive never used priceline or hotwire because i've been too scared of getting a not so great hotel. After your comments though, and reading the priceline forum on here I might give it a go. Thank you.
