RonnyDee Motel/Pompano Beach, FL

Anyone familiar with this place? I can't seem to find any reviews on it. Looks like a small mom & pop, which is fine with us.
Thanks

plmrod, we stayed at the Ronny Dee for 2 nights last Oct. It was rated by AAA, and we got an addt'l discount with our AAA card. Room furnishings are very basic, but there was a small fridge, which was nice. There was just a window A/C unit, but it kept the room cool enough. It is right on A1A, so is in a decent area. There is beach access across the street. Although the rooms are very basic, there is a very large, nice pool, which my husband enjoyed. They also have grills, and at-curb parking.

rjscott, thanks--sounds like what we want--just a place to stay for one or 2 nights, close to the beach. Were you there pre or post hurricane? I wonder how the beach are fared. Was the beach nice? Thanks!

plmrod, actually, we were there post-hurricane a year ago, not this past Oct, as previously stated. However, the Ft Lauderdale area had sustained some damage from that year's hurricanes as well, but the beach towns make it a priority to put things back in shape. We usually stay in Lauderdale by the Sea, but had to move for our last two nights, which is how we ended up at the Ronny Dee. It was very clean. The rooms had tile floors, which I much prefer to carpet in a beach town. We did not use the beach in Pompano, but it looked very nice from what we saw checking out various hotels along the route.
