Caneel Bay - Scott Beach

Anyone have recs for room #'s on Scott Beach? What's the allure of the Cottage 7 rooms. Are they really that much nicer? Can you walk out of your room and on to the beach from either.

I know it's kinda picky, but hey, why not?

Cottage #7 is situated on a small hill with a very brief stroll to the beach. Consequently, it has a beautiful view and close access to the beach. Rooms at Scotts are directly on the beach.

We have stayed at Scott Beach a few times. The rooms are directly on the beach, lovely, one story, small patios.
We fell in love with the location, we preferred the end rooms in the higher numbers, except sometimes that end of the beach can be a bit rocky.
One year Scott was not available so we booked Cottage 7. Its on a small bluff, great views, huge patio deck, very large room, now our favorite. You get to have Paradise Beach (small but
I love all the pelicans), and Scott a few steps away.

When we stayed on Scott's Beach last year we had room #71. It was just perfect. I think any rooms on Scott's beach will be just what you are looking for. You are just steps away from a beautiful beach. You can sit on the porch in the back they provide and just listen to the waves of the water. I believe that Cottage 7 is up on a bluff and is obviously larger then the regular rooms. Hope this helps! - Susan

Rooms in Cottage 7 are more like suites with more amenities. We were upgraded to there and had a large king-size 4 poster bed, a huge living room area, dining area with wet bar, a large bathroom, and very large patio area ... great views. We were steps away from Paradise Beach (very small, but we were the only ones on it almost all the time, so we virtually had it to ourselfs) or Scott Beach.

If you can afford Cottage 7, go for it!
