12 hour layover at Newark Airport

12 hour layover at Newark Airport
We have a 12 hour layover at Newark Airport from roughly 8am to 8pm. Does any one know if any hotels at the airport hire rooms for the day. We will probably go in to Manhattan but would also like somewhere to have as a base to rest and shower. Thanks

I would assume any of the airport hotels will, depending on availability. But- make sure its a legitimate chain. I have heard, although never experienced, that there are a lot of, hum, day use hotels in Newark, that you may wish to avoid.
