Where is the most expensive hotel in the world?

Hi All,

let's say I have a lot of money to burn and I would like to stay in the best hotel possible on the planet. Where would I go and stay?

I would imagine that the most expensive place to stay would be somewhere in New York or Dubai but apparently the most expensive hotel to stay is in Cornwall in England according to this blog

http://www.homelyapartments.co.uk/#!...f2cc77abfa32d9

Do you think is true? Where do you think is the most expensive hotel in the world and which hotel would this be?

Cheers!

Has to be a mistake, I checked dates and prices and you can stay there for under 200 a night. Nothing special about it. Nice view but the hotel looks average.

Could it be that when the article was posted the prices were accurate?

In any case where is the most expensive hotel in the world then?

I always thought that it was the "7 star" Burj Al Arab.

I think someone got the decimal point in the wrong place! The most expensive hotel in the world? As much depends on the room as the hotel and I am betting you won't find it on booking.com!

That is ridiculous (but since you posted it on your own blog you must think it is true)

That hotel costs less than £200 a night for the best rooms . . .

I think that could be the case for some time and the blog took a snapshot of it on booking?

I don't think it was meant to be serious but my question is serious however. What is the most expensive hotel in the world? Any ideas?

No, the most expensive ones are Burj Al Arab in Dubai and Town House Galleria in Milan, and I doubt you'll find them in booking.com...

The Royal Penthouse Suite at the Hotel President Wilson in Geneva, Switzerland. At 60,000 Swiss Francs a night — or about $68,000 US depending on the exchange rate — this is the most expensive hotel room in the world.

dk9, Welcome to Fodors, a bit frosty here but hang in there. The Royal Penthouse is very impressive but whoa that is a lot of money.

The Royal penthouse is amazing! However, I now remember reading about a huge penthouse in New York that was about the same price range or more.

Does anyone remember that? I will try to look for it online and post a link here if I find it.
