Zihuatanejo Hotel Advice

We're planning a trip to Zihuatanejo for about 10 days over the beginning of September, and would love advice on hotel. We're looking for somewhere that's on or close to a great beach, with a great pool, that's luxurious but small, and not so isolated that you can't walk or taxi easily to enjoy life outside of the town.
Here's what I've narrowed it down to:
The Tides
Hotel Casa Don Francisco
Cinco Sentidos
Tentaciones
Casa Cuitlateca
Amuleto

A private villa and an infinity pool sound fabulous - but I'd also like to not spend more then say $300 a night if possible.

Thanks for your help!

Check out Brisas del Mar on Madera. My first choice but a bit less money than any you listed for a lovely view & huge room/patios. Easy stroll into El Centro via bay side lighted walk & near many of Zihua's best restaurants.

Just took a closer look at the rate info on each site, and I think I've narrowed it down to:
Hotel Casa Don Francisco
Cinco Sentidos
Tentaciones

All 3 seem to offer considerable bang for the buck. Does anyone know of anything negative about any of these 3, or any reason why one would be better than the other, for the perfect relaxing pool and beach holiday?

Thanks again for all the help!!!

Hi,

I replied to your post on Frommers but failed to mention that the hotels you are looking at are VERY small and may be already booked so act quickly as many people book a year in advance.

As above, with your trip just a couple months away, I'd check availability before you bother to ponder the options in too much detail.
