Vista Playa de Oro in PV

We are thinking of staying here in Jan AI for a week. Has anyone ever stayed there? Any comments on the hotel, food, location, etc. Anything info would be appreciated.

Your post brought back happy memories. We stayed at the Playa de Oro about 6 years ago, so I would hesitate to comment on what it is like now, but at that time it was a moderately priced, fairly basic, good value for money AI. It is a Mexican-style, low rise hotel, close to the marina. I recall that the rooms were quite large and grouped around a pool. The beach was very nice. Access to PV was easy. You could walk out of the hotel to the main road and get a local bus for a few pesos and be in PV in less than 10 minutes.

we are also going to Vista Playa de Oro in January so if you get anymore info perhaps we can share. Sounds good, we stayed north of PV in Bucerias last year so if you are venturing north we can supply some help.

Thanks for your help Sue.<BR>Finding very little on this resort, Harold other than advertisements. Actually, Royal Decameron is another one we are considering. Was there enough to do out that way? I hear the beaches are way better. Are there shops in Bucerias?

Bucerias was great for us, small shops and a market on sundays, lots of local selections and better prices than PV. The beach was great and a way slower pace than PV. Nice bus ride from PV to Bucerias for 10 pesos.
