"Best" for what?
Very different answers if you are seeking urban areas, tiny villages, mountains, rivers, history, culture, colonial towns, ancient ruins, art, architecture, food, beaches, snorkeling/diving, tourist ammenities (golf, resorts, activities).

Cozumel, Cancun, Isla Mujeras, Playa del Carmen, Riveria Maya, Tulum, Akumel, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo San Lucas, just to name a few.
I have been to all of the above except Cabo, which we are booked for December. Some more than once.
What are you looking for?

That would be great. We will be there Dec. 4 - 10. Staying at the Marina Fiesta. Send me an email. It's in my profile. Have you been to Cabo before? If so, you'll have to tell me all the places to not miss.

KVR, If you want to start a Cabo thread and I'll happily give you my favorite restaurants and sights. I really enjoyed my one trip there (just one week and a couple years ago but it was very fun).
