Teens in Puerta Vallarta?

I'm considering taking my teens - 16, 14 and an 11 year old to PV between Xmas and New Year's. Has anyone taken teenagers there? Mine like lots of excitement and think Cancun is heaven BUT at Christmas last year it wasn't terribly warm. The weather was unpredictable. Is PV's any warmer at Xmas? Suggestions on fun and interesting things to see and do and places to eat would be great, too. I was considering the Marriott Casa Magna in PV - we've done the Casa Magna in Cancun and it was great. Any comments on that hotel or others would be terrific. Thanks!

Andy

We stayed at Villa Del Palmar 2 years ago with all ages of kids. There are 3 swimming pools and it's on the beach. Pepe's is a great place for food and kids, an excellent upscale restaurant is 2 blocks away (I think it's called Cafe D'arte). I'm having brain freeze and can't remember the names, but one day trip was on an open 12 seat truck through the jungle, small town and ended up on the beach with a cookout. Another was this little paradise place with a swimming hole (the helicopter from the Terminator is there). All great for teens! Let me know if you're interested and I can check at home for the names of those places (or if you have a travel agent they can probably do a search for you).

I remember now, the open truck day trip is called Sierra Madre Expedition. Fun! The escort narrates history about Mexico throughout the trip and during stops the film guy hops to and fro 1 of 3 trucks and you can purchase the video of the trip (they deliver it to your hotel). It was a great souvenir!

Marriott Casa Magna in PV is a beautiful hotel. There's tons of stuff to do in-town Puerto Vallarta, along with whatever the hotel/resort offers. When I've been there at Christmas (a couple time but a few years back) the weather was great, 80's sunny.

Oh, FYI, hipvirgochick must have meant the helicopter from Predator, not Terminator...

I went to P. Vallarta at Christmas the weather was fine warm in the day cool at night as for the teenagers there is plenty to do the Marriott is at the Marina there is a lot there also there is town with so much to do. P. Vallarta has so much more to offer. Try it you'll like it. I also stayed at the Marriott in Cancun it was great you won't be sorry with the Marriott in P. Vallarta my daughter stayed there and loved it.

LOL -- loangalsal -- you're right, Predator, not Terminator. All that matters is Arnold
