can anyone tell me if there is shopping distance to the omni? i know i can hop the bus but was wondering if there were anything within a 10 min walk. thanks! beth

No!
Not within a 10 minute walk.
But go out the front door and walk out to Kukulkan Blvd and then turn to your RIGHT.
It is a nice walk ..about 1/2 hour but you see the ground of all the other hotels along the way.
Then you will come to this lovely huge mall, very nice and very air conditioned.
Just pass this Mall are other smaller shops.

Everything is listed by kilometre number on Kukulcan boul. Kukulcan Plaza is km 13 if I remember correctly. At km 12,5 there is La Isla Plaza which is definitly worth seeing.

It's 3Km to Kukulkan and another 1K to La Isla, based on my map from Laura the Map chick. That's 1.8 and 2.4 miles respectively. take a taxi, learn some Spanish and have fun!

Ah, come on, take the walk. If you wish, take a cab back to the Omni. Gives you a chance to walk off all those vacation calories.
