PV Dec. lodging

Ready to book the Villa del Mar for one week in Dec. I have read some negative comments, but seems like a good choice as places are booking up quickly. Any comments, good or negative would help. My other option is Misiones del Cabo in Cabo San Lucas. But really wanted to experience PV. Thanks!

Suze, just booked the Villa del Mar. Hope its no surprise; it's listed as a select property meaning a step down from premium or moderate. I'm a little leary. Not that we require much. Just clean. Hubby and I need to relax and enjoy. Thanks for any comments.

What the Villa Del Mar may or may not lack, the town of Puerto Vallarta will more than make up for it. Have a fabulous vacation and don't even think of staying inside. December is a wonderful time of year in PV. You'll definitely want to make your way down to the Malecon (Centro) late afternoon and evening for a variety of entertainment. I will try to remember to look up Villa del Mar and get back to this post. I am going to PV in August and again in November.

Hola again. Look up Villa Del Mar at the Trip advisor site. There is a very detailed description posted this year. It is very convenient being able to ride the bus, and the Gigante store across the road is super. Sounds pretty reasonable to me. I will still try and view one of the rooms for you, because I walk from Old Town up to Gigante sometimes (not in August but maybe in November when it's cooler.) Ask for a room with a balcony.

I've never stayed there but a friend bought a timeshare (long story).

Why my response was enthusiastic is because I think the town of Puerto Vallarta has just about everything going for it over Cabo (just my opinion).
