I don't know if it matters to you, but the Quinta Real sits on a golf course, totally surrounded by the golf club and probably doesn't have much of a view of the bay as it's across the street from the row of resorts that line the beach. At least 2 resorts would sit between it and the bay. In of itself, it sounds like a nice place and is one of the newest of Mexico's Boutique Hotels, if that's what you're looking for. It's going to be somewhat of a hike to find decent beach area.

The Camino Real sits right on the bay, with virtually it's own beach due to it sitting in a cove. I have not had the pleasure of staying there, but I have heard nothing but positive reviews of it. I think the best rooms are in the club tower, more expensive, but worth it I'm told. It is also very close to the south side of town and is a short taxi or bus ride into town. Of all your original choices, the Camino Real is by far the best choice IMHO.

For Meg~~ "Why?"

One word (you are in) Mexico. things don't always run on American time. it takes a mellow attitude to enjoy the people and the places there.

This is not to make excuses for Molino de Agua. You probably would not want to stay there and would be more comfortable with the standard resorts mentioned in the OP. But if you really did couldn't you call them or fax them and explain you had not received an answer to your email inquiry?
