Trying to decide between Quinta Real, Camino Real, Westin Regina, and Hotel Premiere for upcoming visit to Puerto Vallarta in November. Any feedback you can give me on these hotels would be most helpful. Thanks.

That's easy the Camino Real wins, hands down.

the quinta real is a new hotel and is your best option. second best is the westin. the camino real is very old and the hotel chain has lost all his reputation.

Joe doesn't know what he's talking about.<BR>Newness does not make one hotel better than another. The Camino Real here is a wonderful hotel, with terrific service and one of the best restaurants (La Perla) in Vallarta.

I couldn't agree more about the Camino Real. It is the only hotel in P.V. that we would stay in and we have been going for years. Book a room at the club level.... the value, service, and rooms are great!

The Camino Real is on its own beach about 10 mins. south of town. By far the best location of the ones you mentioned.

Thanks to all who responded. I'm still not sure where I'm staying, but I think I've narrowed it down to the Quinta Real or Camino Real.

I don't know if it matters to you, but the Quinta Real sits on a golf course, totally surrounded by the golf club and probably doesn't have much of a view of the bay as it's across the street from the row of resorts that line the beach. At least 2 resorts would sit between it and the bay. In of itself, it sounds like a nice place and is one of the newest of Mexico's Boutique Hotels, if that's what you're looking for. It's going to be somewhat of a hike to find decent beach area.<BR><BR>The Camino Real sits right on the bay, with virtually it's own beach due to it sitting in a cove. I have not had the pleasure of staying there, but I have heard nothing but positive reviews of it. I think the best rooms are in the club tower, more expensive, but worth it I'm told. It is also very close to the south side of town and is a short taxi or bus ride into town. Of all your original choices, the Camino Real is by far the best choice IMHO.

To me the major difference is staying at the Camino Real you might actually know you are in Mexico... where the others could be vacation resorts anywhere. Just depends on what you are looking for from your trip.<BR>

Camino Real, no question! Service, atmosphere, location, beach, food...all top notch.

One thing about the Molina de Aqua. I have emailed them 7 times in the past two weeks about rates and dates and have not heard back from them at all! Now why would I want to stay in a place that can't even return an email?

For Meg~~ "Why?"<BR><BR>One word (you are in) Mexico. things don't always run on American time. it takes a mellow attitude to enjoy the people and the places there. <BR><BR>This is not to make excuses for Molino de Agua. You probably would not want to stay there and would be more comfortable with the standard resorts mentioned in the OP. But if you really did couldn't you call them or fax them and explain you had not received an answer to your email inquiry?
