Playa Del Carmen - Hotel recommendations

Has anyone stayed at Hotel Kinbe, the Aqualuna, or La Tortuga Hotel? I have narrowed it down to 1 of these, so your comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We stayed at La Tortuga, but it's been a few years. I really liked the place. The pool is pleasant, the rooms were large and bright. (I have a real dislike of dark hotel rooms.) When we were there a continental breakfast was included, and you could upgrade to hot food very cheaply. I liked the location, only a couple blocks to the beach, and one block from the main drag.

I've never been in Hotel Kinbe, La Tortuga has more 'curb appeal', for what that's worth.

Of the 3 you list; Tortuga, Tortuga, Tortuga!
Beautuful hotel, great staff and always gets rave reviews. I've stayed there myself and it's one of my favorite hotels in PDC.

Make it three for La Tortuga - wonderful hotel and great service. We have stayed there three times. Have not stayed there since the renovations - but it looks like it is even nicer now!

Just came back yesterday from 6 days at La Tortuga -- or should I say heaven! Loved! Loved! Loved! The place.

Breakfast is great. Rooms wonderful. Common spaces so nice. Close to everything. Great mojitos. And the staff was insanely nice and helpful.

Check out the reviews at TripAdvisor. Kinbe looked cute but I cannot see it NOT being loud. It's too close to 5th.
