Journey's End Resort on Ambergris?
We are attending a wedding at Journey's End Resort on Ambergris in April, and are scheduled to stay there for 1 week. I've been searching travel sites for reviews on the resort. Older reviews are quite positive, but the newer reviews are less than glowing. In the 2009 Fodor's guidebook, Journey's End is not even listed as an accomodation, but it's sister property, Las Terrazas, is listed. I'm reconsidering whether I want to spend my whole week at this resort.
Has anyone had any experience with Journey's End or Las Terrazas?
Thanks in advance!

I've never stayed at either one, since I like being much closer to town and not have to worry about water taxi schedules.
Journey's End looks pretty nice, I've never been in the units. Last I was there was a couple years ago when we stopped in for a drink while biking up north. I think it was the most expensive beer I've ever had in Belize. More than twice as much as the ones in town. I know it's a resort, and prices will be higher, but this seemed excessive.
Las Terrazas wasn't close to finished last I was there. I'm not sure how finished it is now. Ask specific questions before you book.

Go to www.tripadvisor.com and read the reviews; I cancelled res. there on the basis of them. (Photos are misleading)
