Neil, check www.isla-mujeres.net - there is a very active forum there and I'm sure you'll get lots of opinions. Rolandi's looks gorgeous.

We stayed at Villa Rolandi just before Christmas for 3 nights. We really liked everything about the hotel and the restaurant is gourmet. The rooms are a suite with the hot tub on the patio/balcony which was great and we really enjoyed their small infinity pool. Service was fantastic. The beach is small but very private. Also the 2 person steam shower was really nice.

Isla Mujeres is really small and Villa Rolandi is set off from the town. If you want action you will have to get a cab or rent a golf cart. It's a quiet place, nothing like Cancun. You can take the Yacht over to Cancun during the day when they are going over as long as you come and go within their yacht hours.

I'm jealous, we should have booked a longer stay, it was just a tease. Enjoy!
