Hotels Sold Out...Now what?

We just purchased our tickets for Costa Rica and now we are trying to secure hotels.
We are looking for a romantic upscale hotel in Tamarindo. BOth Cala Luna and Captian Suizo are booked for our dates. Can anyone give me a name for a similiar hotel in the same area. Thank You.

Although it is probably booked as well, try Sueno del Mar (I think that is the name). It has gotten excellent reviews on Fodors.

JBQ, a little south (S/W?) of Cala Luna is a B&B that has beach access - Villa Alegre. We visited both Sueno del Mar and Villa Alegre and both are the closest to Cala Luna's and Capitan Suizo (we adored this place)paridise settings. They are a little further from downtown though but taxi's are abundant. Capitan was an 8 minute walk to downtown. Follow Matt109's advise and go to the website - both these places have websites listed on it. ENJOY

Thanks for all of you help and great website suggestion. Sueno del Mar is also booked. We are left deciding between Jardin de Eden, Tamarindo Vista Villas, of Villa Alegre(waiting to see if they are available). A+Out of these three hotels which would be the best choice?

Also, in Arenal I was looking to stay in Tabacon Hot Springs Resort but it is also booked. So I am now torn between Lost Iguana and La Mansion Inn. Again, which is the better choice in terms of a nice romantic hotel? Thank you for all of your help.

Believe me, you will prefer Villa Alegre -LOOK ON THE HOTEL COMMENTS -on El Diria. It is beautiful (I heard negative things about it so we went into the lobby and stopped at the bar to order a beer then sat on the beach in front. It is pretty but the rooms seem to be a problem as well as the management. Great location, though.

OOps, Dira wasn't one of your choices. We did go to Vista Villa's Fri. night "girls night" at top of the stairs where the pool is. My 21 yr. old and 18 yr. old had a blast there!!!! We old foggies were out of place. Can't comment on the rooms nor the El Jardin -check this website - hotel section.

I would consider Diria but I had read some negative comments on the hotel. I will have to take a second look.
