We would like to go away for a week of sun in January & wondered if anyone can recommend a luxury hotel on the beach in Gran Canaria. There are so many, I am getting very confused. anyone help please?!!!

Hi, just saw your message. Too late I'm sure but we just got back from Gran Canaria where we stayed 4 nights on the beach. We stayed at Villa del Conde in Meloneras - the hotel is absolutely stunning and very luxurious. Lopesan also have another property in Meloneras - the Gran Hotel - which is one star lower than the Villa del Conde but which also looked very nice. Meloneras has a more refined atmosphere than Playa del Ingles nearby and has some nice restaurants.

In Puerto de Morgan which is quieter but very pretty the Cordial hotel looks very nice indeed.

There is also the four star Reina Isabel right on the Canteras beach front in Las Palmas.
