Food at Iguazu Falls

Hello. I will travelling to Iguazu Falls in July, 2004, staying at the Sheraton Hotel. I have read on this site that the food at the Sheraton is not good. What are some restaurants that serve good food in the area?? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, John G.

I disagree that the food at the Sheraton is not good. You will have several choices...a fixed price buffet, or ordering ala carte...I found the buffet overpriced...the quality was much better when ordering off the menu....also, there are some very reasonably price dishes, including local fish and good quality pizza....

There are other choices available in the park during the day...mostly "fast food" and snack bars....otherwise you will need to take a taxi to town, about 10k away....

OK, great. But, can you give me the name of some restaurants in town?? What about some casino I have heard about? Or is that on the Brazilian side of the falls? Cheers, John G.

I also found the food of the Sheraton to be good, we had a nice lunch on the Brazilian side at the Hotel das Cataratas. It was Saturday, Fejoada day, there was live music and all kind of salads and desserts included in the fixed price which was similar to the Sheraton/
