Cost and recommendations for birding guide Soberania

We are couple in our 70’s and want to see birds and flora in Soberania. The companies we have been in contact with are shockingly expensive—like $500 for 3 hours. We can hire a driver from Panama City so Unless we can find someone MUCH less expensive that would truly add to the experience, we will go it on our own. Thanks

Have you tried contacting Justo Comargo? https://www.justadventurespanama.com...--surroundings. His website shows a 5 hour tour of Soberania
for $115 each. We went to Metropolitan Park on edge of Panama City with him this time last year. He is probably the best bird guide we have ever had - and we have
had lots around the world. I reviewed him on tripadvisor. He found us a remarkable number of species in our am with him at the park. He provided transport,
he was nicely careful with us (we're contemporaries of yours) - "be careful here....." We can't say enough good things about him. He's young and energetic, has a super good eye, really knows his birds. Worth every penny!

Have you considered staying locally in Gamboa? It can be a bit cheesy at times, but it's very hard to beat the Gamboa Rainforest Resort for birds, and it's maybe a mile from the Pipeline Road. They have an excellent bird guide there who heads up their activities--Jose Soto.
