Cancun restaurants

We will be in Cancun in late Jan, staying at the JW Marriott. Would appreciate restaurant recommendations that will offer good food with "local flavor".

LaHabichuela in the garden. If you don't go a pox will befall your clan. No really it's that good! See the web site! Cheers.

Has anyone used that Cancun Entertainment Plus Card (2 for 1 deals)? Comments, please.

Hi NJMom,

Another vote for La Habichuela. Its a must for us when we pass through Cancun. The garden is magical!

I don't recall what the cab fare was from the hotel zone but it wasn't enough to make a difference. And sometimes there are little festivals or park parties with music going on in the area around the restaurant.

We went to Cancun in '97 and in '00. We liked a restauant called El Mexicano which had a show with dancing and singing. The food was pretty good too. Your hotel should be able to make a reservation for you. If you like to dance also try Senor Frog's. It is wild! Have fun!

La Parilla downtown. They have a Sunday afternoon buffet that is busy with locals.
