bosque del cabo

We just booked here a week ago for February. Thought I was ahead of the game and found out 3 month advance booking is necessary for high season. At first we weren't sure because they told us during our 1 week stay we would have to move 3 times. After reading all the wonderful reviews, we thought it was worth it anyway and we are packing so light-it wouldn't be such a big deal. Leonardo has been great about working on the moving and has gotten it down to 2 moves. We will be in Gecko 3 nights, Vista Mar 1 night, and Lapa 3 nights. I was wondering if anyone has pictures of these cabinas or know where I can find some? We are dying to see what they look like. Thanks!

Oooh Lapa is my favourite, I love it! They are all so close to each other it's worth it to be able to stay there I think. Gecko is lovely too, I walked around in it when it was empty & I think I have pics from another trip of it when it was being re-roofed (really fascinating to see how they do it). Lots of Lapa pics here, and of BdC in general in 2 of the 3 albums (Costa Rica and Costa Rica 2006 Part 2)...I just put this in another thread and will say the same thing, the link doesn't always work so you can email me for an invatation if it doesn't ([email protected])

Leo, Kim and all the staff there are wonderful and will always go above and beyond to make yours a wonderful trip. Gerly even managed to find the exact same type of contact lens solution (in Spanish!) in PJ for me when I was getting too low. Have a wonderful time

Oh-That would be great thanks! I guess I will have to email you because the link did not work. I think you also gave me some advice about Sansa airlines--we are staying in San Jose for the beginning and end of our trip just to be on the safe side with making those flights.

Between the two airlines, i reccomend NatureAir to PJM. They have bigger planes with big windows - it's a pretty flight.
And they are almost always on time, something which Sansa doesn't ever seem to accomplish.
Overall, a better airline and worth the extra few dollars.

I prefer Sansa myself, have used them on all 3 trips. I like the convenience of having it right next to the Int'l airport and so far have never had a problem with them, all flights on time. In fact I was once booked (and paid) on Nature Air from Manuel Antonio to SJO to catch my flight back to the states. The flight was coming from the Osa and the rep told me 3 times it was late, xx more minutes, then suddenly it changed to it was full and couldn't stop. (I suspect it had much to do with me being a solo traveler and it was easier not to stop). Luckily Sansa was able to take me. I always take a pill before I fly, big or small planes, to be honest, and that helps a lot.

Sorry the link didn;t work but if you want to see them you're (or anyone else) welcome to email me and I will send an invite.

We stayed in Gecko in Feb 2005. Here is a link to our BdC portion of our trip. After looking back their are only 3 pics of Gecko - I know I have more, but hopefully this will give you an idea. Many of the wildlife shots were taken directly from the porch.

We too were to move around several times while staying at BdC. In the end someone unfortunately had to cancel. And we were able to stay in Gecko the entire stay. Have a great trip.
