I owned a Keeshond for 11 years. If you took a chow chow and a pomeranian, and averaged them, and made it black and grey, you'd have a keeshond.
I loved him dearly, but it's one of those difficult breeds where people say "I used to own one" but they don't go for it a second time.

Elaine,
that definitely sounds like me - not the shedding and barks a lot, although, I do get vocal when needs be, but the ‘"I used to own one" but they don't go for it a second time.

DH would certainly agree with this

We have a Yorkie (he's a biggie - 14lb) and a Silky Terrier - next time I'm trying a greyhound, I hear they sleep a lot

Tulips - when we researched our second dog I wanted an Italian Greyhound and was over ruled - never! never! give your children voting rights!!!!

Guess who is here beside me licking my ankle as I am typing on the computer- my own large(13 pound) Poggo( named for Poggibonsi- near San Gim.) the Pomeranian

Is it too banal to top this thread with a wish for a good hot dog? (make it Sabrette's, please... but don't put either Nutella OR Peanut butter on it! yuck!!!)

Topping as a companion to the "Dog Bakeries" thread -- and to help another poster "bury" the thread with the offensively long message header.
