Which Paris hotel is this?

A few people recommended a wonderful hotel run by a woman I believe was named Marie? Family run, very peronal, small, had a courtyard and only a few minutes from the Eiffel Tower. Can anyone remember the name off hand?

Courtyard, Marie, family run and few minutes away from Eiffel Tower by subway: Hotel Grand des Ecoles. Popular in spite of small rooms and no AC or TV in room.

My guess would be the Latour-Maubourg, which is within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, and matches the rest of the description. Their website is at http://www.latour-maubourg.fr/

You may be talking about the LaTour Maubourg - Maria Orsenne. It is right across from a metro station. We stay there every time we go to Paris.

You would have to be remembering wrong for it to be the Hotel des Grandes Ecoles because it is not a few minutes from the Eiffel Tower. Unless someone said that who has a very broad definition of "few". There is a woman named Marie there, though, and a courtyard.

Even though the owner's name is Marie and there is a courtyard, the Grandes Ecoles is not that close to the Eiffel Tower, so that couldn't be the hotel that BjorkChop is looking for.

Isn't the hotel Hotel Muguet? Marie is the name of the owner & it's near the Eiffel Tower.

I believe Le Muguet is owned by Mme. Catherine Pelletier.

The Hotel La Serre is owned by Marie-Alice and is in the Rue Cler area -very close to the Eiffel Tower.(The Hotel and associated restaurant were apparently given a lot of publicity by Rick Steves, so that may be the one you have heard of). This is their website http://www.eiffeltower-hotel-paris.com/English/Main.htm
