What is the snorkeling like in Turkey

Hi there -

We are considering a trip to Turkey in the summer months.

I know you can snorkel there, but I can't find much information on what it is like. I know its not the Caribbean, but what do you see? Is there coral? Colorful fish?

Can you snorkel from the beach?

Where are the best spots?

Where should we stay?

Thanks a ton!

You can pretty much snorkel in any coastal area around Turkey..

As for Diving the best spots in Turkey are;
Uçan Balýk, Kaþ
Büyük Resif (Great Reef), Bodrum
Afkule, Fethiye
Delimehmet, Ayvalýk
Kalkan
3 Adalar, Tekirova
Bebek and Minnoþ rock islets, Saros
Sivriada, Istanbul
Kocadað, Gökova
Hisarönü, Datça

Check out Tekirova or Adrasan for diving. Adrasan is about 90kms southwest from Antalya.
