Turkey in 7 days?

We will be chartering a sailboat and cruising the Greek Islands late Apr/early May 2007. We have a week to spend travelling overland in Turkey. We've never been there before. Any suggestions about where a couple of aging, budget-conscious baby boomers should go? We tend to be independent travellers.

I love Turkey Travel Planner too. One of the or only extensive knowledge database on Turkey. We know Mr. Brosnahan personally and his love & passion to Turkey is also amazing.

I personally suggest; coming Turkey, visit Ephesus. As you have been on or near to the water all the time I would suggest to take the plane to come to Cappadocia nd 3 or 4 days istanbul afterwards....

Happy sailing, good winds and enjoy Greece & Turkey

TylerTraveler and propertravel, I checked out turkeytravelplanner.com, and it's a great site. Thank you both for your suggestions!

Split your time between Istanbul and Cappodicia. An arrival near Ephesus would be nice.
