What area in Lisbon is best for hotel
We are staying in Lisbon May 8 - 13 - we are interested in staying close to historical sites and city center area? We look at maps, but not sure what is the best area for us. Thank you -

We (17 people) stayed at Hotel Mundial and were very satisfied. The metro, bus and tram stations were very close. It is located in the heart of Lisbon, near Rossio.
I had a corner room, which had a view of the castle, a bathtub and shower, a couch and chairs and was very spacious.
Breakfast is good. Perhaps more 3* than 4* but still enjoyable.
Some people in our group were extremely pleased with their rooms and some thought their rooms were a bit shabby. It probably depends on which room you get, even though this is not an older hotel.

Dear Shuler - The hotel looked great, but unfortuately for us, it was booked. We'll keep looking - can you tell me if that area is a nightlife spot - i.e., local bars. restaraunts? When looking at Venere it highlights the area - I can look for others within that map area - Thanks -
