We are staying in an apartment in Lisbon.
However. There are many reviews on Tripadvisor.com. It is a place to start researching.
Hope this helps.
Also. You can do a search on this Forum. Type in Lisbon in the search or Lisbon hotel.

I like the Hotel Real Palacio. It's in a nice neighborhood, very close to the sao Sebastiao metro stop (about 4 stops from the rossio/baixa)and close to the Corte Ingles (dept. store). It's in a quiet area, not too touristy, but convenient.

I don't know if it's a 4-star but Hotel Mondial is very centrally located, at Rossio.
You can get around Lisbon quite easily by taxi, bus or Metro, so you might opt to stay a bit away from the Center, like at the Eduardo VII

Lisboa Regency Chiado right in the Chiado district of the center. Great rooftop terrace with gorgeous views of the Castelo. Haven't stayed there (just had drinks) but it did look appealing. Small and boutique like hotel.

Hotel Mundial is a 5-minute walk from Rossio Station. It is a very nice hotel, especially if you can snag a room with a view of Castelo Sao Jorge. There is a grocery store just down the street from Mundial where you can purchase things like Coke, snacks, deodorant, etc.
Have fun in the birthplace of my ex-husband, Rogerio. Bom Dia.

Hi Deb, I agree that Mundial has an easy access to Metro station, but not so easy to train stations. The closest train stations are Cais do Sodre (Estoril and Cascais), Entrecampos (Sintra) and Oriente (North and South of Portugal). I think you were referring to Rossio train station, but this station is closed now and will be closed for 2 years.
