Use weather.com

"Weather London in March" is usually quite cool, low to mid 60s, sometimes it might hit the early 70s. Expect lots of rain, and showery weather.

Think a T shirt, a sweater and then a jacket to cover all eventualities - oh and an umbrella!!! Temps around 50-60 degrees (can't ever remember 70) and probaly showers.

The traditional saying is that March comes in like a lion (windy and fierce) and out like a lamb (beginnings of Spring), but it's never wholly predictable. If you live here, what you really notice is the clocks going forward and it still being daylight by the time you get home from work.

Try www.bbc.co.uk/weather/features/review/

for past weather records month by month

we went in late march and while it was rainy, it was never really cold. The rain didn`t really stop us from doing anything, and it certainly didn`t rain every day. One day we did get caught in a downpour, and we were just drenched, walking around Hyde park. So go, and just take a good raincoat.

you can check highs, lows, average temps and rainfal on www.worldclimate.com. We were there this past April and it was cool (50s during the day) and rainy.

We were there from about the 12th through the 23rd - some days were fairly warm (maybe 65?), most days were fairly cool (maybe 50?). We wore jackets and thin long sleeved shirts most days - it was extremely windy!

The 'norm' for March is cool and wet, but the temp can hit 18-20 C occassionally, but it can also be very cold, down to zero degress!!

I was there the last week of this past March. The weather was terrific IMO. Not too much rain (although that can happen). Not too cold, not too hot. Go and enjoy. Flowers just starting to bloom. Yes, primroses!!!

It won't be THAT hot, THAT cold, THAT dry or THAT wet. Yet you could well get a variety of all 4 but that's just the UK around springtime for you.

We don't get much extreme weather, not at any time but certainly not in spring.

Whether you think it's hot, rainy or whatever will depend very much on what you are used to.
