Weather & Itinerary
I will be travelling to London Oct 9 - 17. What is the weather like this time of year? Trying to figure out how I should pack.
Also, what are the best sites to see? Also wanted to schedule a day or overnight trip to Paris. Any suggestions? Eurorail?

Welcome to Fodors.
You probably should re-post w/ a title that at least mentions London (or better yet London and Paris) "Weather & Itinerary" could be asking about anywhere in Europe.
But to give you some basic answers - - What reasearch have you already done - what sorts of things do you enjoy? If you click on DESTINATIONS above and follow the links to london you will find a lot of information to help you get started. Then do a search - there are hundreds of threads w/ good info about London and Paris
As for weather expect anything except 90F and freezing. Basically - dress in layers so you are ready for nice days and cool/cold days. Take something waterproof and a small umbrella - but also some light weight things.

London will PROBABLY be cool, not cold, and cloudy and damp with some rain showers. It won;t be 90 and it won;t snow.
Don't say where you're from so it's hard to give a comparison. Not too different from DC/Philly/NYC - in spring and fall only.
As for what to do there - get several guidebookks and read. Then come back with specific questions.
