Thank you so so much for the replies.
I will be checking each one of them and narrow it down to 3.
Each one of them looks so beatuiful and their location all have pros and cons.
Thank you again.

don't get so stressed out about it. if you put so much effort into finding the absolute "best" chances are you will be disappointed. worry more about what you will see and do. i can't even remember where we stayed in venice but i remember all that we experienced. that's the way i prefer it. your experience in venice should not revolve around a hotel (in my opinion).

You are so right, walkinaround.
We are so much looking forward to see the special things to do.
It will be the last part of our Italy tour and we hope to relax and enjoy.
Thank you,
Sue

I picked up on this thread because I love Venice and I always love to read what MCLAURIE has to say. (I value her suggestions.)
I want to pass on a little advice and this could be anywhere, not just Venice. I am somewhat of a hotel snob myself and am alway searching for the "best", "most luxurious" room. In fact, sometimes I wear myself out with all the research, but here's my point. Often times we do get the best room and pay dearly for it, only to not really get to experience the room or the amenities the hotel has to offer. (i.e. pool, gym, spa, etc) beacause we are too busy sightseeing and shopping (YES!) So, if you do want to make this a truly memorable, luxury please take time to really enjoy the room and property itself.
BTW we stayed at the famous Cipiriani and were disappointed. The rate was very high and we didn't even get a good view. Plus, we spend most of the time taking water taxi back in forth. I must say the service was top-notch though and you can't help by the love the old world charm, although the room decor was dated and tired.
Hope this is helpful.
