Venice to Marco Polo Airport
We have almost everything lined up for our trip to Italy which will end in Venice. Our hotel is not far from the train station but it doesn't seem that there is a train directly from the station to the airport. Have I missed something? I've come here in hopes someone can recommend a direct service, doesn't have to be by train, from near the station to the airport. Thank you.

You can either get a fast bus (15-20 mins) to Piazzale Roma, which is a shortish walk to the station (and €6) or a boat (check with your hotel what stop you need, because there are different boat routes). Depending on where exactly you want, this might take a bit less or a bit more time, and will cost €15

The OP wants to go FROM Venice TO the airport.
Just over the bridge from the train station is Piazzale Roma, an open air "bus station". You can catch a land bus from Piazzale Roma directly to the airport for 6 euro per person. Two companies run buses whch cost the same. The local bus service, ACTV, is a regular city bus that makes a few stops along the way to the airport. The ATVO bus is more like a long-distance bus with luggage storage below that goes directly from Piazzale Roma to the airport without stopping.

Well, for one thing, there is no rail connection, so you didn't miss anything.
Thanks for giving us the specs, Scootair. Like Vincenzo, I'm leaning towards the bus rec, too. The water routes are all well and good, but the bus system so close to you works brilliantly, easily and cheaply.
