We are going to Venice for one night. We are leaving late the next night to take a train to Naples (approx. midnight). Our travel agent said the hotel should not have a problem with storing our luggage for us - during the day. What do you think? Is it safe? Do you think they would do this? Thanks!

I have never seen a hotel that wouldn't store a guests bags on the day they were leaving. One caveat: if this is a very small pension you may need to check on hours the desk is staffed - middnight may be too late.

Hi KY,

Our last trip to Venice the hotel kept our luggage for us in a closet near the reception desk.

We are looking to stay at the Villa Igea which is connected to Savoia and Jolanda hotel.

Relax...the hotel will almost undoubtedly store your luggage for you and it will be completely safe. Just make sure there won't be any problem picking it up late in the evening. AND, I would say that this sort of service would deserve a tip from you for the trouble, too.
