Venice in Sep - Air cond. needed?

We will be in Venice in the first week of September and are trying to figure out if we will need accomodations with air conditioning at that time of the year. Any recommendations?

Hi<BR> Will your vacation be ruined if you get a night or two of &quot;unseasonably warm weather&quot; and can't sleep?

I was in Venice last September. It was very chilly and rainy. Air conditioning was definitely not needed. I was in Rome where it was 80 degrees. Took a train up to Venice and had to buy winter scarf, hat and gloves!
