I found veggie options in most places i.e. goats cheese salads etc. Do a search as someone recenly asked this and a few restaurants were listed. I find that mos places in Europe these days will have something for a vegetarian. Also if not French food there are lots of ethnic places that may offer more veggie options...I am dying to try that Falafel place I have heard about in the Marais!

Sorry I don't have the name(s) but I have seen mentioned both guidebooks and websites specifically for vegetarian restaurants in Paris.

Anyone?

Probably on the Paris Convention website there are vegetarian restaurants listed. Or google for it.

I don't know about the 9th, but right across the river from Notre Dame is a great vegetarian place called Le Grenier de Notre Dame. It's on a tiny side street just off the small park in front of St Julien Le Pauvre. we stayed at Hotel Esmeralda right there, and ate at the Grenier 4 or 5 times! It is not expensive at all, and really good, plus cute atmosphere. We had a hard time finding vegetarian options, to be honest, at most restaurants. Most have one "vegetarian option" and that's it, so we ate a lot of salads, pastas, and cheese plates - which are great! Like SiobhanP said, ethnic places often have more veggie options. Have fun!

Bonjour.

Try to obtain a copy of the latest issue
(2004) of Great Eats Paris. On page 310
the author lists vegetarian restaurants by that specific category. In the 9th the author lists Cojean and Fructidor. There are eight other restaurants listed in
different districts. I have not eaten in any of these restaurants as of yet.
I do expcet to in June.
Merci.

If you want a guide to restaurants labeled as vegetarian in Paris, there are several comprehensive websites for vegetarians with worldwide restaurant listings. YOu should be able to find them with a find words typed into Google.

depends somewhat on your personal exact definition (vegan, lacto ovo, etc.)

all the parisian standards like bread, cheese, omeletts, crepes could work for you. and ethnic restaurants greek, italian have dishes that have no meat in the recipes.
