By the way, the one thing we did not really like at Le Case Gialle was the bread. Every morning a lovely looking loaf was waiting for us on the outside table. We are all bread lovers, but found this bread tasteless. I read somewhere that Umbrian bread is typically not salted (due to a history of poverty in that area, perhaps) and that was the case with this bread.

For some reason, five intelligent adults never thought to simply ask Silvana to not bring us the bread; we diligently just kept trying to find ways to make it tastier. The birds had some...

One other thing we did like: they loaned us two guitars. Not sure if our neighbors were happy about that!
