Troyes, Beaune, or both?

I will be going on my honeymoon in September. We plan on starting in Paris and ending in Rome. We will be driving the whole way, mostly interested in nice scenery, good food and great european architecture. After 2 days in paris (we have been to Paris twice before) we plan to drive to the alps, probably Chamonix. My idea is either leave Paris early and drive to Toyes arriving around noon. Spend that day there. The next morning drive to Beaune spend that day, the next morning drive to Camonix. Option 2 is drive from Paris to Beaune spend 2 days in Beaune then drive to Chamonix. I imagine both Troyes and Beaune to be similar. My question is, is it worth visiting both for 1 day or would you recommend sticking to just one, and witch one. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks for your time.
