Day trip to Dijon from Paris

Hello,

I will be traveling through France and wonder if it is a good idea to plan a day trip from Paris to Dijon or if I am better off staying overnight in Dijon.

It's an easy train ride from Paris to Dijon. We've gone down for lunch a couple of time.
