Transportation from Rome to Venice???
Flying in and out of Rome for a cruise that leaves from Venice. Therefore I need to get from Rome to Venice by bus or train to catch the cruise ship by 5 PM. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Apologies. Volareweb does go from FCO.
Not sure what I was thinking.
My main concern would be hooking up to the flight. Are there enough such flights per day so you don't have to worry if you miss one due to delay?

Everyone should remember that many of the low cost airlines in Europe have VERY low baggage weight limits. Someone cruising might have more luggage than the low cost airlines will permit.
IF I had the time, I'd take the train. Luggage weight is not an issue and even though it's past harvest time in Tuscany, the first half of the ride is delightful. Go second class for about $38EU each. I also think the train is cheaper by about $50EU.

I flew volareweb in Oct., Paris/Venice round trip. The previous poster is right on about baggage weight. Volare allows two checked @ 35kg each. For every kg overweight the charge is E7! A couple from RI paid in excess of E200 as they were collectors and had alot of stuff (boy were they angry). Volareweb is very clear about their baggage policy on their site.
