Train Rome to Sorrento - Easter

Four of us are planning to take the train from Rome to Sorrento on Easter, 27Mar. I have been surfing for information on schedules and reservations with little luck. I think the way it works is reserve the tickets in advance, travel to Naples from Rome on one train and then transfer to a local train for Sorrento. I'm afraid the local train will not be running that day. Can someone offer any advise, please?

Hi l,

The Circumvesuviana site, http://www.vesuviana.it/orari.htm
gives the schedules.

"Feriale" means NOT on holidays.

Thank you, Ira. Unfortunately I went to the site and the schedule does not load up. I'll try again later.

LP - Try this one - it's much more user-friendly:

Hope this helps ...

Thank you, Steve. I guess my assumption is correct that I will have to transfer in Naples from Rome? That probably means buying the tickets seperately? Buy Rome to Naples in Rome, buy Naples to Sorrento in Naples?

The local train is the Circumsuviana, and the ticket window is to be found on the way the the tracks which are located downstairs from the tracks where your train arrives.
The local train is running on Easter.
