Depart: 80 EUR for a bunk in a six-person couchette.

Flexi 2: 110 EUR for a bunk in a six-person couchette.

Flexi 1: 135 EUR for a bunk in a four-person couchette.

Good luck!

Many many thanks to you all for your help! I successfully booked the train through the internet this morning. FYI I tried to call when I couldn't do it online and the person who picked up the "English" phone could only speak "a little English."
I have come to appreciate the internet for making international travel plans, and thanks to you all for your guidance in helping me do this myself.

Regrettable that GeoffHamer never saw the request for a follow-up answer. Maybe I will try to "signal" him on another thread, and re-direct him here.

Best wishes,

Rex

For Rex, Ira and anyone else confused by this train, the night train from Firenze to Paris is the "Euronight" train from Roma to Paris (train no 226), which goes from Roma, picks up at Firenze (Campo di Marte), Bologna, Parma and Piacenza, and drops off in the morning at Dijon and Paris Bercy. This is one of the two Italy-Paris trains which are run by Artesia which is jointly owned by the Italian and French railways. The other train is the one from Venezia to Paris. Both trains have sleepers, couchettes and a restaurant car, but no ordinary seats. They go through Switzerland, but do not stop there to pick up or set down passengers.
