Tickets to Cordoba Mezquita
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to find out where I can get tickets to Mezquita in Cordoba for May 2019. Can we go there on our own or we should go with a tour group for a day trip? We will be taking the train from Seville. Appreciate your help.

We travelled to Córdoba by train from Seville in June 2018. It is easy to do on your own. It is a pleasant walk to the old town from the train station. You can buy your tickets to the Mezquita from the ticket booths, there were no lines when we were there. We really enjoyed our day trip to Córdoba, but both agreed it would make a great 2-3 day stop.

Here is a related thread from 2017
Do we need advance tickets for Mezquita?
I just went to Mezquita without advance ticket. No queue that I could remember. I had quite a lot of time left until lunch, so I visited the Alcazar and a Califal Bath museum nearby.
>>> Can we go there on our own?
What is the essence of your question? It is a mobility issue? Is it a language issue? Is it a ticket acquisition issue? Is it about understanding the features of the structure?
Mezquita is about 1 mile from the station.

Try to get there close to opening so you can see it with less crowds. Here's our morning at the Mezquita (with photos). It is remarkable.

I did it on my own. If you don't want to walk, you can easily get a taxi or there is a bus line if you want to research that in advance. I took a taxi from the station to the alcazar, toured it first, then walked to the Mezquita from it (which i only about 700 meters). Then I took a bus back to the train station at the end of the afternoon. Bus line 3 goes from right near the Mezquita to the train station, tickets were 1.3 euro in 2018. The bus stop is near the bridge (Puente Romano) on Ronda de Isasa.

I went today (Sunday afternoon in February). For anecdata, there were definitely several long queues, but they moved quickly. We spent about 10 minutes in line. We aren't morning people so even though we stay in town we don't wake up early enough to go during the free hour.
